Coming Soon Early 2025
Under the Congressional No Surprises Act, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for non-emergency medical items and services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Cosmedica Dermatology utilizes a fee-based model and does not participate in health insurance plans. Our team is pleased to provide every patient with a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before a medical visit or before scheduling a medical visit.
Patients should save a copy or picture of their Good Faith Estimate.
If a patient receives a bill that is at least $400 more than their Good Faith Estimate, they can dispute the bill.
Note that this does not apply to cosmetic procedures or services.
Please contact the office with any questions or concerns. For more information about patients’ right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 877-696-6775.
